Elementary (PreK - 6th Grade) Textbooks are used in the elementary program, and they are selected on the basis of how well they support the scope and sequence of the established curriculum.Textbook selection is conducted on a six-year cycle in order to stay current with knowledge and trends in each field. All areas of the curriculum are evaluated separately. The pre-k and kindergarten classes do not have student textbooks for all curricular areas.Teachers use resources provided by the publishers to instruct students.Click the picture below for the textbook adoption cycle. The curriculum is departmentalized for 4th - 6th grade students.
Preschool (2 & 3 yr olds) The preschool curriculum addresses the development of the "whole" child. All subject areas are designed to meet the spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development of the child. The preschool curriculum makes full use of early childhood resources, curriculum, current trends, and proven research. The preschool classrooms are very interactive with student discovery hands on activities.
